you can tell just comparing how both player´s volley here, that lleyton has better hand´s at the net, than ferrer does. I think as with most spanish player´s, they don´t really like to volley that much.
@galahad2000 i dont think Hewitt will win another grand slam but his still a fighter and is not the type of player to retire when things arent going his way even if he won another slam it wont do much for him his already been number 1 and won wimbleton you cant get much more success then that.
@galahad2000 Well Hewitt almost beat Roddick in a marathon 5 setter at the Wimbledon quarters. He broke Rod a number of times, which even Fed could not do once in his 5 setter.
Basically, with some luck Hewitt could have made the semis or finals who knows..
These two had a classic match at the French Open the previous year.
Ferrer came back to win a five set thriller on the red clay.
They should not be practising with memories of that bitter encounter.
“EX-slam winner.” LOl!! I think you mean slam winner. You make it sound like he’s not a 2 time slam winner anymore, because he and his slams broke up or something.
Hewitt can beat federer but i would like to suggest that hewitt have to play without cap against federer because his last to slam come without cap..its onely overluck can beat federer..
Bonkatsu – Hewitt looked very good. Did not show any effect of injury. The only problem is that there are about 15 guys better than he is in this tournament(if you go by the seed, more like 30 better than he is)
He has a good chance vs Chela, none vs Fed
Nano – you are quite welcome, I hated the ladies in front of me chatting away, so moved to the end..
Many of the pro’s particularly the ladies do not grunt in practice, but shriek during matches. VERY annoying
Ferrer looked lethargic..

Verdascofan – You’re right. He is a slam winner, and no one can take that away. I guess I meant it like “Ex-president”..
I don’t think either guy is getting past the quarter-finals of a slam in the future, do you?
By VerdascoFan, August 1, 2011 @ 11:34 pm
Anyway…great vid. Sometimes when you see a player practising you get a better idea of their strokes.

Did Hewitt show any signs of his niggling injuries? I just hope his 100% for the match against Federer
